Battle of Shiloh Tennessee March 31, 2012 This is a small sample of the aerial video I captured while attending the 150th anniversary re-enactment of the Civil War Battle of Shiloh. This event was great - a once in a lifetime spectacle to behold. Most of the video is of Day One, "The Hornet's Nest." The Confederate Army battled from sun up to sun down and finally captured a bunch of Union troops. They thought they won the battle, but it actually was a victory for the Union because that gave them enough time for Grant to show up with reinforcements. The next day, the Union troops pushed their way back against the Confederates and won the battle decisively. |

This event was held on the actual Elmira Prison Camp grounds along the Chemung River on May 5th and 6th, 2012 The Rebel Chaplain, here, conducted Sunday mornings Worship Service on "Smallpox Island".
